Blue Missile

Tipster: Tom Bull.
Best odds: --
Watch: The Flat Out Podcast team share their other top tips for Saturday's action plus also reveals some ante-post selections
She's had four starts so far, and now finds herself on a rating of 84. She won a novice stakes on her second outing at Lingfield last year and while her two starts this year appear a little underwhelming on paper, I think she needed the run on her return to action when seventh in the Height Of Fashion Stakes in May. She then shaped like a proper stayer in the making at Windsor when last seen, which is a little odd as her pedigree has got some sprinters in there, and a couple of milers.
She is a daughter of Galileo, though, out of an Iffraaj mare, and there is some stamina in her pedigree. She definitely looked in need of 1m4f at Windsor, quite significantly so, in fact, and faces that trip for the first time on Saturday.
She is one of the most unexposed fillies amongst the entries here, and as a three-year-old stepping up in trip, I think Blue Missile is definitely worth keeping an eye on.

Taygar

Tipster: Jack Nicol.
Best odds: 100-1 (general).

redcar

14:50 Redcar - Monday May 29
The form Taygar produced at Redcar in May looks strong
Brace yourselves...I am tipping up a 100-1 chance! She is that price for a reason, and this is a tentative selection, but I'm taking a chance on the Michael Dods-trained Taygar in the William Hill Two Year Old Trophy on Saturday.
I was really impressed with this filly on debut at Beverley where she motored home to score, and I thought she may go on to run in the Queen Mary after that.
She went to Pontefract next, though, where things didn't go to plan for her, but finished third at Redcar after that, and the form she produced there is my angle into the race here.
She finished behind Hala Emaraaty (who is now rated 92) plus high-class sprinter Big Evs, who was making his debut, finished second. Progressive two-year-old Seven Questions finished a place behind Taygar, too.
She's rated 76, and has to concede 5lb to Dragon Leader, who is a worthy favourite, but I think Taygar is overpriced based upon her performance at this track two starts ago.
Hopefully she gets a good draw, and it may be best to wait until declarations to back her when you are also likely to get a few extra places. However, I've had a little go on her now at 100-1, and I definitely think she can outrun those odds.

Meditate

Race: 3.15pm Newmarket - Virgin Bet Sun Chariot Stakes.
Tipster: Joey Laver.
Best odds: 9-1 (Bet365 and SkyBet).
Watch how Meditate fared behind Tahiyra (again!) on Irish Champions Weekend
Meditate is a fairly strong each-way bet for me in this race. She settled better when wearing first-time blinkers in the Matron Stakes last time out, and she travelled really, really well into the race. She actually got interfered with a couple of times in the straight, and when finally in the clear, she rattled home.
She's a filly I like, and hopefully the headgear continues to aid her. I don't think she's got an awful lot to find in this race, either, and I think a mile on fast ground is exactly what she wants.
She's obviously not as good as Tahiyra but, aside from Dermot Weld's superstar, she is one of the best three-year-olds around. She's got a lot of talent, and clearly has some temperament, but she's getting bigger and bigger, and is filling into her frame, so I'm hoping she will really light up in her final few starts this year.
I expect her final target of the year will be the Breeders' Cup, but I think she's got a great chance of picking up a Group One on the way here, and I would like to see her ridden more forward on the Rowley Mile this time, especially as there doesn't look set to be a huge amount of pace on.
Inspiral isn't the most reliable, and I'm not entirely sure the French raider, Mqse De Sevigne, who was impressive when defeating Via Sistina last time out, wants fast ground, so it's Meditate each-way for me as she's got a better chance that 9-1 suggests.

Fresh

Race: 3.35 Ascot - Howden Challenge Cup.
Tipster: Harry Allwood.
Best odds: 10-1 (Bet365 and SkyBet).

curragh

13:50 Curragh - Sunday September 10
Fresh shaped much better than the result suggests at the Curragh when last seen
Fresh has caught the eye in defeat on numerous occasions this season and again shaped as though his turn is near when a luckless sixth in a Premier Handicap at the Curragh last time out.
James Fanshawe's charge met traffic problems there before staying on strongly, and it was similar scenario in the Wokingham at Royal Ascot earlier this year.
He's had excuses on his other starts this term, too, but now finds himself on a rating 3lb below his last winning mark.
The six-year-old landed two valuable handicaps over this course and distance last season plus the majority of his best efforts have been at this track, so the return to Ascot has got to be a positive, while ground conditions (good at the time of writing with minimal rain forecast) shouldn't pose a problem.
His handler has been in decent form over the past fortnight, and there appears plenty in Fresh's favour, providing he doesn't meet any trouble in running!

Nigiri

Tipster: Danny Archer.
Best odds: --

york

17:20 York - Thursday August 24
Nigiri in winning action at the Sky Bet Ebor Festival
Ralph Beckett's filly is firmly on the upgrade and she shaped with stacks of promise stepped into Group company when second behind Matilda Picotte in the Sceptre Fillies' Stakes at Doncaster last time out.
The progressive three-year-old had previously defied a career-high rating of 80 with ease in a valuable contest at York when completing a hat-trick of handicap victories, and looks as though she has plenty more to offer.
She is versatile regarding the ground and now drops back in class into Listed company here. Seven furlongs looks her perfect trip, too, and I am firmly of the opinion that she's going to continue to progress into a hugely exciting prospect for next year.
