Andy Stephens, Dave Nevison, Martin Dixon, Ross Millar and Harry Allwood share their top tips for Saturday's action at Haydock, Wincanton and Ascot. Win the ultimate Cheltenham package!
12.55 Haydock: Jipcot
Tipster: Dave Nevison.
Best odds: 11-2.
Jipcot won a Listed Juvenile hurdle in France two years ago and although he won a race for Ben Pauling, he didn’t progress as might have been expected.
However, since he has moved to the O’Neill yard, and following a second wind op, he has very much turned the corner.
The operation has evidently been very successful and his latest two runs make him the pick here. He won over 2m4½f at Newbury and then ran a cracker at Windsor off an 8lb higher mark where he looked very well suited by the step up to three miles.
Jipcot is 2lb higher again here but I suspect he won’t be ridden so cold this time now his stamina is confirmed, and he can resume the winning thread in this Pertemps qualifier.
1.03 Wincanton: Slide Rule
Tipster: Martin Dixon.
Best odds: 5-1.

With just 12 winners at a 9 per cent strike-rate, it hasn't been Tom Lacey's best season up to now, but there has been green shoots of recovery in recent weeks, and Slide Rule is a very interesting handicap debutant.
He is stoutly bred and will surely improve up in distance here, and I noted him as one that could take off in handicap company when keeping on steadily under a considerate ride last time out.
2.25 Ascot: Altobelli
Tipster: Harry Allwood.
Best odds: 4-1.
This seven-year-old did us a favour when gaining an overdue success at Ascot last time out and looks worth siding with again on Saturday.
Harry Fry's charge ran a couple of promising races in defeat at this track last season (the form of both races has worked out well) before his season was cut short after disappointing at Newbury where he was not right afterwards.
His best efforts, including as a novice, strongly suggested he was nicely treated, and that proved to be the case with a comfortable victory over this course and distance last time out following an eye-catching effort in defeat at Doncaster on his return to action.
The first-time cheekpieces, and step back up in trip, certainly appeared to help last time, and a 5lb rise for that victory certainly looks fair considering he defeated some useful handicappers.
The selection has always been held in high regard by Fry, and Altobelli remains unexposed over this trip plus I don't think this race look as strong as last time.
He should also have more to offer over this trip, and has only had nine starts, so ought to have further improvement left in him. He ticks plenty of boxes here with the ground conditions also in his favour.
3.15 Haydock: Galia Des Liteaux
Tipster: Andy Stephens.
Best odds: 10-1.
She’s now 6lb lower in the ratings than when running well for a long way in last season’s Grand National and Royale Pagaille’s presence in the line-up means she is one of only five runners who will be running off their correct handicap marks.
This bulky mare will think she is running loose with Tristan Durrell’s additional 3lb claim meaning that she has only 10st 1lb to shoulder.
Val Dancer and Jubilee Express finished ahead of her in the Welsh National last time but she effectively meets that pair on 17lb better terms and I also think the demands of Haydock will suit her better than that pair.
3.50 Haydock: Kepler's Law
Tipster: Ross Millar.
Best odds: 6-1.
Ross Millar: Law Ready To Rule
