2.39 York: Cerulean Bay
Tipster: Dave Nevison.
Best odds: 11-4.
Cerulean Bay arrives here in top form and looks to have a favourite's chance in this competitive York handicap.
He ran very well in the Hunt Cup at the Royal meeting last time when he was second home up the middle of the track away from the favoured stands rail.
Previous to that, he was a neck second over this course and distance and didn’t enjoy the best of runs either.
The son of New Bay looks to be improving with age and looks set to land a decent handicap such as this at some point this summer.
2.52 Newmarket: Wechaad
Tipster: Ross Millar.
Best odds: 5-1.
He was possibly in need of his reappearance run over seven furlongs at Goodwood when needing to switch to make his challenge, although he still shaped like a horse that would appreciate an extra furlong.
The Brittania at Royal Ascot proved inconclusive as he was repeatedly caught in traffic before finishing well. He can atone here.
3.25 Newmarket: Great Acclaim
Tipster: Andy Stephens.
Best odds: 13-2.
Great Acclaim was only 12th two out in the Buckingham Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot last time and did well to be third (only the winner had a higher Finishing Speed Percentage) given the ordinary pace. He deserves to land one of these big handicaps.
3.45 York: Raammee
Tipster: Ross Millar.
Best odds: 5-1.
Raammee won both starts last year in good style, for all that they were moderate contests.
He pulled too hard on his reappearance over a mile at Sandown and paid the price in the closing stages. A first time hood appeared to curtail that exuberance last time where he relaxed well before finishing to good effect for a second place finish over the same course and distance.
Providing the retained hood continues to do its job, he's capable of another step forward and I'm confident he's significantly better than his current mark.

4.35 Newmarket: Venetian Sun
Tipster: Alex Scott
Best odds: 7-2.
Karl Burke's outstanding filly won four of her five starts last year, including here over course and distance when scoring in the Duchess of Cambridge Stakes and in the Prix Morny from Gstaad.
Her only blemish came when a shade unlucky in the Moyglare and, this season, she failed to stay on her reappearance in the 1000 Guineas. She is since two from two and was always doing enough in front to land the Commonwealth Cup last month.
The daughter of Starman holds leading claims for this race, but the nagging concern is that her trainer reported this week that she had been showing signs of being in season. If she brings her A-game, she will surely be thereabouts.
