Dave Nevison, Andy Stephens, Danny Archer, Katie Midwinter and Harry Allwood share their fancies on Betfred Oaks day at Epsom on Friday - make sure you head to racingtv.com/tips for more Epsom selections.
2.00 Epsom: Maximised
Best odds: 6-4.
Tipster: Danny Archer.
Bought for £720,000, he created a deep impression on debut at Haydock in May, powering clear in fine style. He clocked a top speed of 40.49mph inside the penultimate furlong and he also covered each of the final three furlongs in under 12 seconds, according to the RaceiQ data.
He clearly has bags of speed and hopefully he can emulate subsequent Cartier Champion two-year-old Pinatubo with victory in the Betfred British EBF Woodcote Stakes on Friday.
2.40 Epsom: Calandagan
Best odds: 8-11.
Tipster: Andy Stephens.
Group One glory has eluded the French-trained four-year-old but he is odds-on to put the record straight here and it is easy to understand why.
Since running away with the King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot almost a year ago, he has filled the runner-up spot in the Juddmonte International (behind City of Troy), Champion Stakes (Anmaat) and Sheema Classic (Danon Decile).
He is established as a top-class middle-distance performer after those efforts, not least because circumstances have not always contrived to show him in the best light.
Versatile regards trip and ground, and in possession of a sharp turn of foot, this looks a great opportunity for him to get back to winning ways.

4.00 Epsom: Whirl
Best odds: 7-1.
Tipster: Harry Allwood.
It was a slight surprise to hear connections say the Betfred Oaks was unlikely following her impressive win in the Tattersalls Musidora Stakes last time out.
She had been brought along steadily prior to that over seven furlongs and a mile, and stripped much fitter for her seasonal debut, with the step up to an extended ten furlongs unleashing sizeable improvement.
That form does not look strong, but she was in command a long way from home, and also clocked a decent time.
Aidan O’Brien later said she is set to head to Epsom, and her price, unsurprisingly, contracted thereafter.
Wootton Bassett has produced a 1m4f Group One winner, and Whirl's dam is by Galileo and a sister to multiple Group One scorers, including British Champions Fillies & Mares winner Hydrangea. The authoritativeness of her York success also suggests 1m4f will be within reach, and she relaxed nicely on the Knavesmire.
O'Brien's Snowfall used the Musidora as a stepping stone to Betfred Oaks glory in 2021, and it would be no surprise if Whirl did the same.
Her odds have expanded after Ryan Moore decided to partner stablemate Minnie Hauk, and that has to be a negative, but I don't think it would have been the easiest choice for Moore. Not on paper, anyway, so I'm sticking with her here having advised backing her ante-post.
