Ellmarie Holden cool on Fairyhouse raid with Ex Patriot

Ellmarie Holden is keeping her options open with stable star Ex Patriot, who may sidestep an engagement at Fairyhouse next month.
The four-year-old enjoyed a fine campaign last season and also finished fourth in the Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.
He finished mid-division in the October Handicap on the level at Leopardstown on his latest outing, having previously been third to Jezki in Grade Three company over hurdles at Tipperary.
Ex Patriot has an entry in the Bar One Racing Handicap Hurdle at Fairyhouse on December 3 but Holden revealed he is far from certain to turn up there.
"I'm not sure if he'll run, to be honest," said the Kilkenny-based handler.
"We'll see how he is but we're not sure where we want to go with him and we might pick out something else.
"He ran well the last day and we were happy with him."
