Triumph Hurdle winner
Defi Du Seuil has been ruled out of his planned comeback at
Cheltenham on Saturday due to the ground.
Trainer
Philip Hobbs had hoped to blow the cobwebs away in the Masterson Holdings Hurdle before tougher targets later in the season.
The JP McManus-owned gelding was one of the stars of the last campaign, winning all seven starts and following up his Festival win at Aintree.
"It's just watered ground and we don't want to start him on a faster surface than usual.
"It's a long season ahead - it's no good taking risks at this time of year.
"He might go to the Fighting Fifth (December 2) or the International Hurdle (December 16) at Cheltenham."
