Debra Hamer hoping Cheltenham holds no fears for her winning machine Tobefair

Debra Hamer feels Tobefair will not be fazed by the Cheltenham experience when he bids to extend his winning sequence in the Pertemps Final at the Festival.The seven-year-old has been a revelation for the small Welsh stable, notching up seven wins in a row since joining the Hamer team from Lucy Jones.His five victories this season have seen him emerge as a serious contender for the competitive final of the Pertemps series, run over three miles on Thursday week."I think he needed time to strengthen up. He's quite a big horse and he's just come into himself and he obviously enjoys a small yard," Hamer told Betfred TV."Cheltenham is a nice, stiff track. Fingers crossed he'll enjoy the track. He tends to like the tougher tracks. He's an out-and-out stayer so it should probably suit him."He's not a horse that gets geed up. He's quite a laid-back sort, so I don't think the whole Cheltenham thing will be an issue for him."He seems to have come out of his last race at Newbury very well."I'd like to think there's more improvement in him. When he runs his races you never know how much he's got left."
