Dave Nevison's Ebor Festival tips: "I fully expect him to win"

Our top tipster and pundit Dave Nevison has three best bets on day two of York's Sky Bet Ebor Festival this Thursday and is particularly sweet on one in the Clipper Handicap at 3.00. Catch all the action live on Racing TV.

2.25 York: Anthelia

Anthelia is a two-year-old pure and simple, but she has proved to an absolutely inspired buy at just £6,000 and might not have stopped winning big pots as of yet.
So far, the Millman filly has landed a Listed race at Sandown and she won the Weatherbys Super Sprint at Newbury last time out in very game fashion, fighting back after being headed.
Both these valuable wins were over 5f and she was beaten in between over 6f, but the wins were at stiffer tracks than York and she was clearly still fighting on at the end of the races.
I feel in a race such as this where several runners will be outclassed, the strength and determination Anthelia has shown so far, as well as her greater experience, should ensure she goes close at least in this.

3.00 York: Bullet Point

I am going against my own mantra of avoiding Haggas-trained runners in these big Heritage handicaps, not because they can’t win, but because the odds are often very tight.
However, even at a top-priced 3-1 as I write this, I still reckon Bullet Point could represent a bit of value at the front of the market. The lightly-raced four-year-old has come very close to making all the running in massive field events on Ascot’s straight course, which is very difficult to do and very rarely achieved.
If anything, this York race is slightly weaker than Bullet Point's last two engagements and his running style is perfectly suited to York, especially from a draw in stall 3.
Three of the last five winners have made pretty much all the running in this and Marquand will surely not change his tactics here, and I fully expect him to see his rivals off.

5.20 York: Bonus Time

Paddy Twomey has his team in fantastic form in Ireland and it goes without saying that a very close eye needs to be kept on his runners when sent over for these big meetings here.
Bonus Time was sold out of Gavin Cromwell’s yard for £320,000 after two runs as a two-year-old and, even though beaten at odds-on first time up for Twomey, she might well prove worth the money.
She had the race won by halfway when winning at short odds last time and, though this big field provides a completely different challenge, I don’t feel many in the race have the upside potential of Bonus Time.
