Betting expert Dave Nevison marks your card for a hugely competitive afternoon of action at Pontefract, with every race, plus all the action from the Punchestown Festival, live on Racing TV.
2.48 Pontefract: Rock Of England
A couple of his form rivals are coming back from a break and that gives Rock Of England (who won on the all-weather a couple of weeks ago) a great chance of following up.
That win has already been boosted by a next time out winner and a 4lb rise looks fair. Rock Of England has run well off marks in the 80s in the past, so running off 66 today is not likely to be what stops him.
3.23 Pontefract: Leadenhall
Leadenhall ran abysmally on his final two starts last season, but could well have been over the top after a successful 2025. He won this corresponding race on his seasonal debut last season after a similar time off and, hopefully significantly, he also ran what was his best race on his seasonal reappearance in 2024.
He won off a 2lb higher mark than today later last season and is well drawn in stall 3 here, so if Tim Easterby has him well tuned for this he should go close.
5.08 Pontefract: Token Love
Token Love is a relatively lightly raced maiden, but I would be surprised if the Greenall/Guerriero partnership cannot get a win out of this gelding pretty soon.
The four-year-old signalled his time might be coming with a good reappearance effort at Nottingham recently where he only faded as lack of peak fitness told and was beaten less than three lengths into seventh.
He has dropped 9lb over recent handicap runs and could be the type to win a few once he hits winning form.
