5.00 Goodwood: Supreme King
Supreme King has recently run over further, and then shorter than six furlongs - the trip where all of his wins have been achieved.
The David Evans-trained sprinter has been campaigned in typical style for the yard and has been second three times since winning in June, but looks to have done well with a low draw, and the booking of Oisin Murphy certainly looks positive in this massive field.

5.40 Goodwood: Bobby Bennu
Bobby Bennu didn’t win last season but regularly ran well in big field handicaps at this level and his two runs this season suggest a win is due.
First time out, he ran very well considering he was drawn widest of all in a hot Chester handicap. That run put him spot on and, last time out, he was narrowly beaten by a smart type who came back to form in blinkers at Newcastle.
Roger Varian’s four-year-old will definitely be somewhere near favourite for this and deservedly so. He has the perfect draw in stall 4 and ground conditions to suit, so I strongly fancy that he will go very close.

8.00 Sandown: Spirit Of Athene
Ed Walker’s filly progressed nicely as a two-year-old winning at Lingfield on her last of three starts back in December.
She reappeared only recently, but certainly doesn’t look to have gone backwards for the break. Spirit Of Athene only just failed to overhaul an all the way winner who had an easy uncontested lead at Salisbury and went into many notebooks.
She has been raised 3lb from that her handicap debut, but that looks fair and Ed Walker has negated the rise by engaging excellent claimer Ashley Lewis. With normal progress from that run, she has the look of a good thing.
