Top tipster Dave Nevison takes aim at the all-weather action at Kempton on Wednesday evening, live on Racing TV, and has three selections.
7.00 Kempton: Sea Founder
Sea Founder won a maiden at Windsor last season and then followed up with a decent effort in a handicap off a rating of 80 before a few inconsistent efforts.
However, his all-weather mark dropped fairly quickly, and he scored off a rating of 72 when returning to form with a win last time out in a similar handicap to this.
He was sent off at considerably shorter odds than his recent runs last time out, too, so was clearly thought to have turned a corner, and he demonstrated that on the track.
If he backs up the success off a 3lb higher mark, then the Richard Hughes-trained gelding should have a good chance of recording another victory.
7.30 Kempton: Serenity Dream
Serenity Dream has won twice and finished second twice from four starts at Kempton, so is clearly well suited to the track.
He has been in good form so far this year, and won here in January. After a slightly below-par effort at Lingfield in February, he returned to his best when second over this course and distance last time out.
The booking of Rossa Ryan definitely catches the eye, and even though he is a pound higher, the generally progressive four-year-old looks set to go well again.
8.30 Kempton: Arth’s Gold
Arth’s Gold is still a maiden, but appears to have dropped to a winnable mark based on his recent second at Southwell.
This looks a weak contest, and with Sean Levey taking over here, it could present a good opportunity, especially if
Arth's Gold is ridden positively (on paper, there looks to be a lack of pace in this field).
The switch from cheekpieces to blinkers was definitely a positive last time out, and if the blinkers work again, Arth’s Dream might be able to record his first win.
