4.10 Thirsk: Indian Run
Indian Run hasn’t won for almost three years but, based on his latest run at Windsor, it looks as though his turn is finally near again.
Julie Camacho doesn’t usually take so long to get these older sprinters she gets from other yards to score, but this five-year-old had a barren season after being gelded (before joining Camacho's yard) at the end of 2024.
There are valid excuses for both his first two runs this season, but he benefitted from being dropped even further in the handicap as a result of those unfortunate runs. His Windsor effort was a strong second, beaten a neck, and clearly looks to have found his level now.
A raise of a pound is neither here nor there as Indian Run has dropped 20lb in the past year or so, and I think a repeat of that recent effort will be enough to secure a long overdue win.

4.40 Thirsk: Al Muqdad
David O’Meara has two contenders here who were both runner-up last time out, and they may hold the key to this race, but I have no hesitation in siding with Al Muqdad, who went down by just a nose at Doncaster when last seen.
That was his second good run having been dropped to 0-70 company for the first time since his latest win in November last year.
The six-year-old has found it tough in higher grades since that victory, but has performed with credit on several occasions, and it is evident that this is the grade he can win at.
The booking of Conor Whiteley claiming 5lb is certainly no negative, and I am not at all concerned by his draw in stall 13. Indeed, a strongly-run contest might make it advantageous for a contender challenging wide and late.
6.57 Epsom: Alma Latina
Bookmakers are hardly likely to take any chances with a lightly-raced, Ralph Beckett-trained contender who is making her handicap debut, but an opening mark of 82 for Alma Latina looks lenient, and cannot be ignored.
The rival that defeated the selection on her first two outings are now competing at a much higher level - Listed and up to Group One company - and, given she won her maiden easily last time out, it is difficult to see how she got in so lightly for her handicap debut.
Epsom is a tricky course for one so inexperienced, which has to be considered, but Alma Latina will definitely be suited by a step up in trip to 12 furlongs, and she looks to have a solid chance here.
