3.30 Musselburgh: No Nay Nevermind
Iain Jardine’s filly runs off a mark 3lb lower than a back-to-form third at Carlisle last time out and looks nicely treated based on that effort.
She arguably might have been unlucky on that occasion having not had a clear run through, and definitely looks capable of winning off a rating of 55.
She has been dropped 11lb since the start of this season and has now hit form once more. She gets on well with her apprentice, and regular, rider, and this looks an opportunity for her to lose her maiden tag.
4.35 Musselburgh: Highland Olly
Highland Olly is already running off a rating a pound lower than he last won off having had just four runs since that victory at Nottingham.
He returned to form last time when wearing cheekpieces for the first time, and hopefully the headgear will work again this time.
His latest run was over a mile, but he has a course and distance success next to his name, so this drop down in trip won’t be an issue. A good run is definitely on the cards here.
4.15 Catterick: Lexington Blitz
Lexington Blitz ran really well last time out, which was the first time he had contested a 0-85 handicap, and he might well outclass his rivals here.
He is certainly capable of blitzing his opposition, and the sharp five furlongs at Catterick should suit him ideally. It is also very interesting that Robert Cowell tries headgear for the first time on Lexington Blitz here.
His best performances this season have come at sharp tracks like Musselburgh and Epsom, and hopefully the visor will keep him even more focussed this time to enable him to land his first handicap.
