Dave Nevison Tuesday tips: Keep eye out for Vision

This six-year-old could be forgiven for feeling a little dizzy as he is setting out for his fifth stable in just over two years. 

He is now with Gary and Josh Moore, who hopefully are making the right move and sending this him over fences for the first time in this modest handicap. 

The Moores’ did the same thing in this race last year and had the winner and it looks to be where Walks Like A Man, who won his only point-to-point, should excel. 

The handicapper may well be being generous putting the gelding on a 2lb lower mark than when he last ran in a handicap hurdle. 

He ran his best race on his final start last season when third at Taunton and it would not be a stretch to think he might improve for the switch.  

After winning a point-to-point, Vision De Maine went to Sedgefield for a bumper, only to be beaten by a subsequent Listed winner. 

He still ran a good second, so it was a little disappointing that he showed little in three runs in novices hurdles last season. 

However, those runs meant the handicapper allotted him a low mark when he switched to fences for his handicap debut at Uttoxeter and he absolutely bolted up. 

The three-mile trip clearly suited him very well but, he was running out of his grade and off a 7lb higher mark I expect him to do the same here. 

There is no way this horse should be running in 0-100 company, and this should be his last run at this level. 

Ben Pauling has his string in fine form for the start of the peak season and he has another likely winner in this modest staying handicap hurdle. 

Golden Ambition steps up a couple of furlongs after his win at Fontwell towards the end of last month but if anything, I expect that to suit him better around Lingfield. 

He won his race by staying on well up the hill at Fontwell last time and a 7lb higher mark may not be enough to stop him following up in this before he likely switches to fences in the New Year.
