Tim Easterby’s four-year-old has plenty going for him in what is a competitive handicap for apprentices. The booking of Jake Dickson looks a positive, and the young rider is still able to claim 7lb against fellow apprentices here, so that weight allowance may tip things in Kode Secret’s favour.
The selection is well handicapped running off a rating of 53, which is 5lb below his last winning mark, and 11lb below his peak rating during last summer.
He hasn’t hit the target yet this season, but he has run over six furlongs on his past four outings, and is definitely better over this trip. He has shown enough promise on his recent outings to suggest this represents a decent opportunity stepping back up in trip.
5.02 leicester: Warrant Holder

This is a strong handicap for the grade, but the lightly-raced Warrant Holder might be able to prove he's a well-handicapped performer.
The John and Thady Gosden-trained son of Frankel defeated subsequent St Leger runner-up Rahiebb when he broke his maiden at Newcastle in March, but wasn’t seen for five months after that.
He returned with a decent turf debut in September and, provided he is over what kept him off the track, he may now be ready to start living up to his illustrious pedigree. The step up to 1m4f should suit him well, too.
5.35 Leicester: Holbache

Finished: 10thSP: 7/1
Holbache has scored twice at Pontefract and scored over course and distance last time out, so is a sprinter who is clearly well suited by a stiff, six-furlong track.
It also seems to be his time of year, and against largely out of form rivals, he looks the one to side with here.
He clearly gets onn well with Tom Kiely-Marshall, who has been aboard for his past three victories, and claims a valuable 3lb again here.
Good to soft ground is no issue for this game front-runner, and I think he will be able to defy a career-high mark in this.
