4.58 Beverley: The Sweet Escape
This is a 0-70 grade handicap but top weight The Sweet Escape runs off a mark of 63 and can outclass some moderate rivals.
David Loughnane’s gelding won last time out over this course and distance after finishing sixth in a Hamilton handicap that is working out extremely well, with four next time out winners already.
He made all on that occasion and is well positioned in stall three to do the same here.

4.05 Ffos Las: Tokyo Joe
Ed Walker’s gelding did well to be fourth in a much more competitive handicap at York last time and I feel the handicapper has been surprisingly generous in dropping him 1lb for this race.
He won a maiden over six furlongs on his final start last season but definitely gets this extra furlong and is taking a considerable drop in grade for this 0-70 handicap.
He has never yet raced at this low of a level and this looks a typically good bit of placing by Ed Walker.
4.40 Ffos Las: Homeland
Rossa Ryan is not often seen riding in 0-55 races these days and will be on the favourite here.
This looks a good opportunity for Homeland to finally land another handicap after winning his only race so far in July of last year.
Homeland will be suited by this step back up in trip after disappointing last time though that race might have come too quick following his return from a break.
