Betting expert Dave Nevison shares his best three bets for Wednesday's action. Watch how they fare live on Racing TV.
2.30 Salisbury: Kracking
Tyrese Cameron came back from a ten-month absence with a winner last month and is on an undoubtedly well-handicapped horse here, even though Kracking has top weight of 10st 2lb before the jockey’s 3lbs claim.
The four-year-old seemed to take a while to settle into the Stuart Williams yard and was running poorly, though the yard was generally out of form in the first half of this year.
However, he has sunk to a much lower mark now and seemed to be back to form last time out when finishing second at Brighton.
Kracking won at Leicester last season, so there is a likely chance he will act well at Salisbury, which is similar in layout.
4.50 Beverley: Palazzo Persico
Ed Dunlop’s gelding won two low-grade handicaps on the all-weather last backend but showed last time out that he was at least as effective on turf and he looks ready to win again.
Palazzo Persico’s first three runs this season were perhaps disappointing but, tried in blinkers, he has run two very good seconds – being beaten less than a length on his past two runs.
The excellent Rossa Ryan, who won on him last season, is back on board and the signs look positive. Trip and ground look fine and I would only become concerned if heavy rain arrived.
5.00 Salisbury: Galactic Glow
Galactic Glow has dropped to a manageable mark, having been mostly disappointing in his recent runs, including a predictably poor run over hurdles last time.
Back on the Flat here, the seven-year-old has an eye-catching jockey booked to ride in Oisin Murphy.
I believe that Murphy could make the difference here. Galactic Glow has been second already this year, so his form is not that far in the past.
