Dave Nevison: three best bets for Sunday's action

A bonus for racingtv.com fans as betting expert Dave Nevison has found three selections for Sunday's action. Enjoy all the racing from and live on Racing TV.

1.30 Salisbury: Waistcoat

Waistcoat had come down the weights a fair bit in three runs after he joined Dylan Cunha, and the former South African trainer had probably got him very well handicapped ahead of his victory at Leicester last time out.
The strong pace over the trip, and a stiff, uphill six furlongs seemed to suit him well, and going up just 3lb in the weights for that victory looks generous.
Fletcher Yarham is getting plenty of rides in these races for Cunham and this experienced rider looks a decent booking in a relatively uncompetitive affair.

2.55 Newmarket: Wild Waves

I was not alone in being disappointed by Wild Waves on his reappearance at Musselburgh over Easter.
I believe he had looked a handicap blot for that contest after a very unlucky run in the Sky Bet Melrose Handicap at York’s Ebor meeting, and then a respectable, if ambitious, run in the Betfred St Leger on his final  start as a three-year-old.
The handicapper has left his mark unchanged since last time, and is ignoring the poor performance. I am happy to ignore that effort, too, and stick with Wild Waves, especially with the Andrew Balding yard being in such good form.
Newmarket may well suit him better than the sharp bends of Musselburgh, and I am happy to give him another roll of the dice.

5.00 Salisbury: Wannabeawallaby

I fancy Dylan Cunha will top and tail this Salisbury card, and Wannabeeawallaby could be very well handicapped now that he has hit form again.
He finished second three times in succession last season and was beaten by well-handicapped improvers on two of those outings. The last of those efforts was off a 10lb higher mark than he is off here and, based on those performances, he looks handicapped to get off the mark here for a stable that is in form.
This trip suits ideally, too.
