The racingtv.com tipster has taken aim at the racing action at Kempton on Thursday and reveals his three best bets for the nine-race card.
6.30 Kempton: Bring Him Home at 9-2 with Bet Victor
Although he ran badly on his latest start, I still think there are many reasons for me to fancy this horse three-year-old.
His debut run came over this course and distance and that is arguably his best form, so clearly there are no issues with the trip, or the surface.
His second run might have seemed a little disappointing at the time, but every horse in the race, bar one, that has run since has managed to win, so it looks a better effort than first appeared.
I have said many times, Jedd O’Keeffe is a trainer to be with and he has an impressive record with second-hand horses, and he has booked Jamie Spencer, which looks significant for his stable debut.
Bring Him Home has been gelded and given time over the summer, and I think he could be interesting on the all-weather this winter.
7.30 Kempton: Amniarix at 14-1 with Paddy Power and Betfair
I thought this lightly-raced filly might well be favourite here, as she looks to have so much more upside compared to her exposed rivals, and she could still be value to overcome inexperience.
She didn’t run badly when sent up to Ayr for her debut but improved significantly when running on the all-weather for the first time at this track last time out where she finished third over six furlongs.
On pedigree, she will be very well suited by the step up to seven furlongs and could turn out to be better than these.
8.30 Kempton: My Boy Sepoy at 5-1 with Bet365
Surely it won’t be long before Stuart Williams has a stack of winners and hopefully this well-handicapped five-year-old will start the ball rolling.
He has booked Serena Brotherton to ride and she has won on the selection in the past, and also rode him to finish second in this race last year off a mark of 80. He is off a rating of 67 this time.
My Boy Sepoy ran a good race last time out and got dropped in the handicap for doing so, and his turn is definitely near.
