There is plenty of competitive racing action at the two All-Weather meetings on Racing TV on Thursday and I am looking forward to being ensconced on the sofa scanning takeaway orders with my laptop fired up!
Given the races I have chosen, I will be happy with one winner, though I will, as ever, be doing a life-changing each-way Lucky 31 in the hope that all five do click!
Is now a non-runner.
It has proved profitable this year backing all David O’Meara horses wearing cheekpieces for the first time and also whenever he teams up with Adam Kirby, so there are obvious statistical positives here.
Amjaady also ran really well last time out when he was beaten just a nose by Mayfair Spirit at Chelmsford City, so has a favourite's chance here.
He attempts this trip for the first time, but it looks worth the risk and he might just be value here with a few more obvious last-time-out winners in this race.
This is his second run after a wind op, and he looked very much in need of the run after an enforced break last time out.
He may show the benefit of that run here and be more competitive this time plus he looked potentially very useful at the beginning of the year.
A basement-level contest and most of those lining up are reliably unreliable but Rosarno ran very well last time out and is from a stable from which several runners recently have been going close.
If he uses his good draw effectively, he will not be far away.
This three-year-old is another consistent type who has produced some good efforts recently and is due a win.
It certainly has looked on the last two occasions as though an extra two furlongs will suit and, if he uses his good draw to maintain a good position again and doesn’t waste too much energy going wide, then he could easily win this.
