Our betting expert Dave Nevison enjoyed a successful Cheltenham and bids to round off his tipping week in similar style with tips in the Midlands National and more. Enjoy all the jumps action from Kempton and Thurles live on Racing TV.

2.10 Kempton: Good Luck Charm

This is a very competitive event, but even though Good Luck Charm has been beaten off the same mark three times on the spin I still think she will go close here. The mare split next-time-out winners when running really well in the Lanzarote Hurdle over course and distance on her penultimate start and subsequently again ran well at Sandown where she possibly came from too far back to make a challenge.
She has just 10st to carry here taking her excellent young rider Ben Godfrey’s ride into account and I am hoping she will sit just a little closer to the pace to give herself a chance to finish well. She has actually made the running to win over hurdles in the past and in a race lacking in pace I wouldn’t be upset to see her in the front rank, making use of her stamina.

2.25 Uttoxeter: Lord Snootie

The form figures of since he won a modest handicap at Warwick have not been the most inspiring but they definitely don’t do his efforts justice. His recent record is one of a series of unfortunate mistakes and bad luck in running. Even on his way to his good second place to (who ran well at Cheltenham) last time out he got hampered turning into the straight at Haydock and was left just unable to reel in the winner.
He will be very well suited by the bottomless ground this year as he just wasn’t quite quick enough on the drying surface last time, but a 3lb rise in the weights for that run seems reasonable.

2.45 Kempton: Outlaw Peter

He won at this meeting over hurdles last year and has taken really well to jumping fences so far this season, so I'd say he has an obvious chance of landing another nice prize at Kempton here.
He ran a really good second over this distance here on his penultimate start and then last time was third in what was billed as the Scottish Champion Chase at Musselburgh last time running, as good a race as he has over fences so far. The form of that race is working out well with the runner up winning a strong race at Kelso next time and could still prove to be well handicapped off the same mark.

3.00 Uttoxeter: Iron Bridge

There are very few horses who are fully at home when faced with the unique test that is Uttoxeter on very heavy, but does a very passable impression of one who absolutely loves it!
The Jonjo O’Neill-trained eight-year-old has proved himself at the track when getting beaten just a head over three miles on this card a year ago. He almost certainly should have won that time but Richie McClernon didn’t quite get him back up after a mistake and then getting hampered in the closing stages. Iron Bridge is 7lb better off here with who won that race and should reverse that form.
He is 4lb better off with the admirable My Silver Lining, who finished six lengths in front of him when the pair met over three and a half miles last time out so it will be theoretically close between the pair here but for my money Iron Bridge is the one most likely to improve of the pair for this extreme trip.
