Consequently, she didn’t settle but still stayed on well close home to all but get up.

She is in stall 5 here and, in a race set to be run at a good pace, Hector Crouch should be able to get her cover this time. The step up to a mile should not be an issue as her dam won over the trip and she is related to 10f winners.

Spinaround will be one of the outsiders here but I have a hunch he may run better than his odds suggest.

It seems from the start of his career Spinaround has been stretched out to trips on the upper reaches of his stamina expectations based on pedigree. He is by Kodiak out of a dam closely related Spin Cycle who Bryan Smart raced over sprint trips in this country.

I think that Kevin Philippart De Foy may be onto something equipping the blinkers for the first time and dropping Spinaround back down in trip. The four-year-old last won a handicap off 89 last June and is down to 82 here. He didn’t run too badly last time out when a close seventh over a mile at this track.
