2.00 Exeter: I See The Sea
Three miles at a stiff track like Exeter looks likely to prove ideal for I See The Sea who is making his handicap hurdle debut in this relatively uncompetitive affair.
The Philip Hobbs and Johnson White-trained gelding did disappoint when a well-backed favourite on his latest start, but prior to that he had run a really promising race when fifth behind the useful Awaythelad at Ludlow in January.
A handicap mark of 104 looks manageable now that he is stepped up to a trip in keeping with his pedigree. The money for him on his last two outings suggests he is thought capable of much better, too, and he could well show it here.

3.30 Exeter: Paricolor
Paricolor lost his form completely last season and dropped markedly in the weights. However, wind surgery has seen him run better in all three outings this season, which included a third at Cheltenham over this trip in November.
He hasn’t run yet this year, but any concern about his readiness is allayed by the booking of Harry Cobden for the ride (taking over from a claimer).
Paricolor acts well on very soft ground and is still 6lb lower than his last winning mark here, so has plenty in his favour. Having a top-class rider on board should mean that he doesn't waste energy battling with other front runners for the lead, and I expect another good run at least.

4.15 Wetherby: Kinder Kid
Tina Jackson’s six-year-old is bred to get four miles at least (!), so he will really appreciate the step up to three miles here, and might well improve considerably.
He has been to Wetherby twice already and has caught the eye on both of his runs. On his penultimate start, when he was a 150-1 shot, he was staying on past beaten horses up the long straight and was even more eye-catching last time out when again doing his best work at the finish.
That run came in a handicap and he only ended up getting beat seven lengths plus he has been dropped a couple of pounds for that effort, which puts him on a handy mark. Kinder Kid will likely make use of his stamina reserves here but, given he knows the track well, I am happy to side with him.
