Top tips for Friday! Dave Nevison has two selections at Newcastle, plus one at Wolverhampton, as our top tipster takes aim at the all-weather action.

1.27 Newcastle: Cardinal Point
This filly is the most consistent performer in this field by some way, and looks to have a good chance to gain reward for her recent efforts.
Joe Bradnam, who takes off a handy 7lb, has his first ride of the year on Cardinal Point, but guided her to finish third at Lingfield in November, and his claim might well be a positive in this tight affair.
Michael Bell’s filly has been racing over further, and performing creditably, but the longer distances do seem to stretch her stamina, and she might appreciate dropping back down to 12 furlongs, a distance she has won over.
4.35 Newcastle: Auntie Jo
This filly remains a maiden, but her best performance was over this course and distance in 2024, and she recently returned from an eight-month absence with a decent effort.
That latest effort came over six furlongs, and Auntie Jo definitely looked as though she would be better off returning to the minimum trip.
She races over five furlongs here, and with her stable in good form, and her good course and distance run coming off a 9lb higher mark, she looks set to run well, so could finally shed the maiden tag.
5.00 Wolverhampton: Zoulu Warrior
Heather Main’s improving sprinter might well complete the hat-trick at Wolverhampton, a track that clearly suits him well.
He is ideally drawn for a sprinter that excels from the front, or at least when ridden prominently, and although he has been raised 4lb for his recent course and distance win, that doesn’t look insurmountable.
