Dave Nevison's Friday tips: three best bets at Haydock

Find out who our betting expert is siding with for the action at Haydock on Friday, live on Racing TV.

1.32 Haydock: Mission Impossible

Hailing from the Egan family, Alexandra Egan was always destined to be a jockey, and she has already created a big impression. She has also clearly caught the eye of many trainers already, and is going to be aboard the favourite on her first ride for William Haggas here.
Mission Impossible is an extremely well-bred three-year-old who has obviously taken time, and may not ever live up to her illustrious pedigree, but definitely doesn’t look overburdened for her handicap debut.
Bred to be a stayer, she should improve for this step up to 1m6f, and her form in three starts over shorter so far definitely give her enough of a chance in this Apprentice Handicap.

3.15 Haydock: Vince L’Amour

Vince L’Amour came back to form in early September last season when he returned to softer ground, and after dropping significantly in the weights all this season, Tim Easterby’s gelding looks like he can do the same again this year.
The signs were encouraging last time out when he finished a close second at Chepstow and he has been raised 2lb since, but is still running off a mark 7lb lower than his last win.
He looks to have run himself back into form and will surely go well again here.

5.27 Haydock: Into Battle

Into Battle’s best performance on ratings came when he finished third at Kempton last season when he raced over the longest trip he has ever faced.
It seems a little strange that he hasn’t run over a similar trip yet this season and, a mile at Pontefract last time out was simply too short for him. However, it is possible to make reasonable excuses for unplaced efforts on his three previous starts over ten furlongs.
As well as going back up in trip, Into Battle now runs in a 0-75 handicap, which is the lowest grade handicap he has ever contested.
Ed Walker has his string in very good form, and I expect Into Battle to be much more competitive here.
