Darebin makes no mistake for Ludlow success

Darebin got off the mark over fences at the second attempt with a tidy jumping display in the KLF Insurance Brokers & The Bryan Challenor Memorial Novices' Limited Handicap Chase at Ludlow.
Runner-up on his chasing bow over the course and distance earlier in the month, Gary Moore's charge went one place better - although luck played a part as the leader Robinshill threw Jamie Bargary out of the saddle at the last.
That left Darebin (5-1) in front, but the five-year-old was then hard pressed by Kapstadt and was all out to win by half a length in the hands of Jamie Moore, son of the trainer .
"I'm very pleased with that and it's nice prize money," said Moore.
"He might have been a little lucky, but you do need a bit of luck sometimes. He battled on well, so it's all good and he jumped well."
He added: "I've not got any plans for him yet. That was just the job. He's won over hurdles and on the Flat as well. Hopefully, we will have more fun with him."
Fly Home Harry (5-1), trained by Charlie Longsdon, put up a determined front-running display under 5lb claimer Paul O'Brien to see off the persistent challenge of Running Wolf in the EPDS Racing Partnerships Supporting Racing Welfare Handicap Chase.
It was the first success for Longsdon's Racing Club and came just a day after he celebrated 500 career winners in his 11 years as a trainer.
Kim Bailey's Cresswell Legend (9-2) led all the way when making a winning debut over the smaller obstacles in the Wendy Goodenough 21 Again Novices' Hurdle under David Bass.
The Colin Tizzard-trained Drinks Interval (5-2) came from last to first under a confident Harry Cobden ride to make it two from two over timber in the Thoroughbred Breeders Association Mares' Novices' Hurdle by a length and a half from long-time leader Majestic Moll.
Ed Bailey steered Matt Shepherd's Go On Henry (7-1) to victory by four lengths over Grand Coureur in the Bob Hagan 70th Birthday Amateur Riders' Handicap Chase.
Grand Coureur's jockey Chester Williams was not to be denied a winner, however, with Peruvien Bleu (13-2), trained by his father, Nick, coming out on top in the Terry Dervin 70th Bedian Handicap Hurdle.
The five-year-old led after jumping the second-last flight and had too much pace for the 5-4 favourite Banditry.
