Arrogate will retire to stud after contesting the Breeders' Cup Classic at Del Mar next month.
The four-year-old is a four-time winner at the top-level for trainer Bob Baffert, counting last year's Breeders' Cup Classic and the Dubai World Cup in March among those triumphs.
He has failed to show his best in his two most recent starts but connections were pleased with his work efforts at Santa Anita on Tuesday and owner Khalid Abdullah is eager to get his stud career underway with his Juddmonte breeding arm next year.
Juddmonte farm manager Garrett O'Rourke told Thoroughbred Daily News: "Prince Khalid is enjoying the career of Arrogate and the tremendous world of success he's had, but we're obviously an operation that has a huge breeding arm and all of us anticipated adding a magnificent stallion prospect to our roster.
"Especially over here in the US, on the heels of the tremendous success we've had (in Europe) with Frankel and prior to that, Dansili, Oasis Dream, it's something of great excitement and anticipation for us to have Arrogate here.

"But ultimately, it had to be Prince Khalid's decision and he's finally been ready to make that decision."
Arrogate drilled a five-furlong workout at Santa Anita on Tuesday in 1m.00.20s It was the best workout from 40 at the distance on the day, according to Equibase.
He is a best-priced 7-2 with BetVictor to land a second successive Classic on November 4 at Del Mar.
Despite his recent disappointments, Arrogate remains the highest-rated horse in the world, followed by Australian star Winx and Arc heroine Enable.
