This is my final tipping piece before Christmas so let me take this opportunity to offer you a happy and healthy Christmas.
I do not have a strong view about the 32Red King George VI Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day but I do believe it would be foolish to write off the chance of Thistlecrack, on the basis of his comeback run over hurdles at Newbury.
I thought the engine looked fully intact and was just in need of some fine tuning.
As always I have four selections for you.
I tipped this filly in my column last week, when she ran at Wolverhampton and despite defeat she looked unlucky.
She was squeezed out at the start, having been rousted along early, lost a prominent position and found herself tactically compromised thereafter.
She did make late headway once switched out wide and was not given a hard race. She was ridden last time by Ben Curtis but Edward Greatrex takes over for the six-furlong handicap. Compensation awaits here at the generally available price of 3-1 in a race that looks quite weak.
This horse is unexposed on the All-Weather and could well improve for stepping up in trip.
He ran really well a week ago at Lingfield where, despite a wide trip, he finished his race off strongly to be third.
That effort came over 12 furlongs and now up to two miles and off the same mark (73) he has a good chance of utilising his obvious stamina.
A glance at his French form shows that he won at Deauville over 15 furlongs on soft ground, which shows that he is a strong stayer.
Now at two miles on a surface that clearly suits him he should go very close here at Ladbrokes' 4-1.
It is worth chancing at 25-1 that this talented horse can bounce back to form.
He is down to a mark of 83, allowing him to compete in this Class 4 event and a repeat of the form he showed to win at Newmarket last year would be good enough.
Dean Ivory, his trainer, is in good form and his horses can suddenly jump up after a number of dull efforts.
Robert Winston knows him well and his strong travelling style is perfect for this track.
He could blow out completely but his price demands an interest.
This horse is on a hat-trick after two wins at Kempton.
He has been raised only 3lbs for his latest success and that underestimates the progress he is making.
I particularly liked the way he travelled and battled last time to gain a hard fought success.
This track clearly suits him ideally and in all truth this contest is not particularly strong.
He looks set to win again at around 5-2 before taking a step up in grade.
