Racing TV/Tote Tournament

The Racing TV Tournaments, in association with the Tote, always prove hugely popular!

And we are giving you another chance to take on Dave Nevison and scoop a share of the "Beat the Pundit” prize pool of £5,000! This Tournament will take place on Saturday, April 6.

Once again, Dave will begin with a betting bank of £100 and will place his bets for Saturday afternoon (Dave's bets will be available to view from early evening on Friday, April 5). The tournament will include bets settled on your Tote account on all UK and Irish horse races on Saturday, April 6 up to and including the 17:48 at the Curragh.

You can therefore place bets at Uttoxeter, Kempton, Stratford, Kelso, the Curragh, and on the opening race (17:25) at Chelmsford.

Dave’s bets will be visible in Tote's live tournament blog and on the Racing TV website, and your challenge is to make more profit than Dave! You will be able to place bets before and during racing, too, and Dave is likely to place further bets throughout the afternoon if his early wagers are successful.  

The winners will be the participants whose betting profits on the day of the Tournament exceed those of Dave Nevison’s. For example, if ten entrants make more profit than Dave, they will each receive £500.

1. This tournament is only open to select customers aged 18 (eighteen) years and over who are a resident in the UK & Republic of Ireland. 

2. The tournament will include bets settled on your Tote account on all UK and Irish horseraces on Saturday 6th April up to and including the 17:48 The Curragh.

3. To be eligible to participate in the Bank Holiday Betting Tournament you must opt in at tote.co.uk/promotions/rtvtournament 

4. This opt in will enter you into the Racing TV Betting Tournament and valid opt ins will be denoted by the ‘Opt In’ button changing to ‘You have Opted In’. 

5. All participants are required to have a Tote account. 

6. All bets must be placed on your Tote account (Tote.co.uk, Tote.ie, Placepot App and text betting) to qualify. 

7. Prizes are subject to participants placing the minimum of three bets with a minimum aggregate stake of £10.00. 

8. Only Tote pool bets on horse racing during the respective periods will qualify. 

9. Tote Credit will be treated as if it were real money stakes for the purpose of prize calculation. For further details on Tote Credit, see clauses 18 to 24 (inclusive). 

10. A "Beat the Pundit” prize pool of £5,000 is available for this Tournament. 

·      The prize pool will be shared equally amongst winners. 

·      The winners will be the participants whose betting profits on the day of the Tournament exceed those of Racing TV Pundit, Dave Nevison. 

·      Where Dave makes a loss, winners will be all those who made a betting profit greater than zero. 

·      Betting profit is calculated as follows:  Total value of winnings minus the value of stakes placed on bets settled on the day on all UK and Irish races, up to and including the designated final race of the day’s competition (as per clause 3 above). 

·      You must have a minimum of three settled bets with an aggregate stake of at least £10 on the day to qualify for the “Beat Nevison” competition. 

·      Dave Nevison will start with a £100 betting bank. 

11. Additional bonuses may be awarded, at the Tote's sole discretion. 

12. All prizes will be paid in Tote Credit which is subject to a 14-day expiry. 

13. Transfer of entries from one participant to another will not be permitted. 

14. We will credit winning accounts within 3-hours of the end of competition. 

15. For the purposes of the Tournament, Tote Credit is subject to a 14-day expiry for ‘Beat the Pundit’ prizes from the date it is credited to your account and can neither be withdrawn, exchanged nor substituted for cash, whether in part or in full. 

16. Although Tote Credit cannot be withdrawn, any winnings derived from bets placed with Tote Credit can be withdrawn. 

17. Tote Credit can only be redeemed across racing pool bets, subject to the following exemptions. 

18. Tote Credit cannot be redeemed across Ten to Follow, Virtual or Games sections of the website or app. 

19. For the purposes of the Tournament, Tote Credit stakes cannot be used to qualify for any another Tote promotion or offer. 

20. Tote reserves the right to refuse Tote Credit to a customer where Tote reasonably believes that such customer is abusing or defrauding the Tote Credit system.

22. Participants will be contacted via email/SMS solely for the purpose of providing necessary information about the Tournament and for administration purposes only, in accordance with the Tote Privacy Policy which is available at tote.co.uk/privacy-policy. 

23. Winners' first names and the initial of their surnames will be published on a leader board which is available to view within the app. 

24. Tote reserves the right, acting reasonably, to withhold, restrict or cancel promotions from individual account holders in accordance with its eligibility, promotion abuse and internal trading risk policies at its reasonable discretion and with prior notice.   

25. We cannot accept liability for any lost, incomplete, indecipherable, or delayed entries caused by technical factors beyond our reasonable control. 

26. Underage gambling is a criminal offence and is not tolerated by us. We reserve the right to request age verification documentation from any customer at any time and to render void any bets with persons under the age of 18 (eighteen).
