It's a bit of an insult to the Harty's training ability that this filly is 16-1, and Jamie Spencer is booked. She looked potentially very smart at Tipperary last time.
18/1
Sanctijude and the selection ran on debut at Leopardstown. Tahcawin's maiden looked stronger, and she showed a nice attitude for pressure plus should come forward now. The newcomers here do not appeal enough to suggest she cannot win.
9/4
He's clearly a bit of a rogue, but can only be placed at worst here if he performs, so makes lots of each-way appeal under Nicola Burns. I'm still not sure how he threw the race away last time, and this is a drop in class.
15/8
Caught the eye at Chester on his return and looked a handicapper to follow when successful at this track last year (off a 2lb lower mark). Advised ante-post at 14-1.
13/2
It's best to forgive his latest run, and the form of his Royal Ascot second looks strong. He should be capable of going close off a rating of 99 on his return to Ascot. Advised ante-post at 6-1.
13/2
I thought he was value for more than the winning margin suggested when defeating Calandagan at Epsom, and should have more to offer with just six starts under his belt. A strong gallop here will also play to his strengths.
15/8
Has run numerous good races in big handicaps and I fancy he's drawn on the right side with Tom Marquand taking over in the saddle. The 9-1 chance has each-way claims at the very least
10/1
Showed he can roll up his sleeves when an emphatic winner last time and still appeals as a quicker horse than his Epsom conqueror Jan Brueghel. His form at Ascot is also seductive
6/4
Jubilee Walk looked a sprinter to follow when he won a similar big-field handicap at last year’s Dante Festival, and showed more promise at Chester last time. He must have a decent chance of getting back on track now.
13/2
Yorkshire is my main fancy in this, and he has looked one for a big handicap for a while. He performed well at Royal Ascot to finish sixth, and could have got even closer had he not suffered traffic problems.
14/1
He's on a lengthy losing run, but he looks to have similar form to several runners who are available at much shorter odds, and I'm taking a chance on him at the prices.
33/1
Bayraat has the look of a contender who has been aimed at this contest, and his two runs this season have definitely suggested he is still capable of a big run.
12/1
Expensive breeze-up purchase for in-form trainer, she stayed on powerfully to win at Sandown last time and this race should suit
4/1
Looks well-treated off a pound lower than his Bunbury Cup second, and this course and distance should suit his running style
5/1
Creeping down the weights despite some solid efforts and may give the favourite something to think about. His third at Hamilton is strong form
13/2
The Top Speed she recorded when winning at Yarmouth on debut is faster than any of her rivals have recorded so far, and I expect Staya to relish this step up to six furlongs.
4/1
Sword appears overpriced for an each-way bet here considering the benefit that the data suggests he will receive from being drawn in stall 22.
18/1
Akkadian Thunder can easily be forgiven his latest run, and he was an excellent second in the Buckingham Palace Stakes over this C&D in June. I expect he'll bounce back to his best returning to Ascot on Saturday.
13/2
Looks to have a favourable draw, and was a luckless third in this contest last year. He’s a pound out of the weights here but is well treated on that form from last season, and he's my nap of the day on Saturday.
12/1
The draw could again be significant in this big-field handicap, and Billyb has an ideal berth in stall one. He arrives here on the back of his best effort this season, and is nicely handicapped on his best form.
12/1
