Chased leader until 6th, chased leaders, ridden and plugged on in 3rd extended run-in, closed on 2nd but no chance with winner

Raced keenly, held up in rear, headway out wide turning in, plugged on in modest 4th omitted last

Mid-division on inside, went left and hit 4 out, soon lost place, rallied on inside chasing leaders after 2 out (normal 3 out) pushed along turning in, ridden and weakened extended run-in
