Comment: Flat-bred gelding who got it right at third attempt in bumpers at Ludlow (14f, heavy) on debut for this yard in December, despite hanging badly left under pressure. Should have a future over hurdles.
Comment: Showed ability only start in bumpers and easily best effort over hurdles when second in 2m Sandown novice on penultimate outing. Latest effort was very disappointing, but worth another chance.
Comment: Has an appealing pedigree and shaped with encouragement when sixth in a bumper at Chepstow that worked out well. Off 4 months after and disappointing at Doncaster. Now goes hurdling with a hood on.
Comment: Battle of Marengo gelding. Dam 25f chase winner, half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser (stays 21f) Not Another Muddle. Tongue tied and dropped away in a course bumper recently.
Best Odds are Bold
The five tiles correspond to the five possible Early Position Figures (EPFs) that a horse can record in a race:
EPF 1 Leader/Front runner
EPF 2 Prominent/Close up
EPF 3 Mid-division
EPF 4 Towards rear
EPF 5 Behind
The colour scale represents the probability of the horse recording that EPF; deeper blues are higher probability, while white indicates lower probability. The horse indicates the predicted EPF.
Kepy Blanc (FR)
SAYADAM showed a really willing attitude when justifying favouritism in a Kelso bumper in March and, given his pedigree, he ought to excel over hurdles. With that in mind, he's preferred in favour of Mister Watson and Kepy Blanc.
3 King Ferdinand
Tom Lacey's profit to a £1 level stake with hurdlers running in first time headgear
0 Quiet Flow
Dan Skelton's strike rate at WARWICK since the start of the 2016/17 season
4 Le Bateau
Nicky Henderson's strike rate at WARWICK since the start of the 2016/17 season
Specific Place Hint: A decent pace still shouldn’t detract from the chances of those who race on or near the front end such as Mister Watson: War Call might not benefit from being ridden as far back as usual for all the gallop is likely to be a reasonable one.
Individual Price Hint: All Shook Up traded at 25% or less of BSP and 50% or less of BSP twice on 3 of its last 5 starts: Miltiades has traded at 50% or less of BSP twice on its last 2 starts.
