Australian supermare Winx surprised even her trainer Chris Waller with the ease of her latest victory in the George Ryder Stakes at Rosehill.Winning for the 16th time in succession, jockey Hugh Bowman eased her to the front turning into the straight and she majestically pulled clear.Far from beating no-hopers, those in opposition included top-class sprinter Chautauqua, who finished third in the seven-and-a-half-furlong contest. She beat Le Romain, a Group One winner, by seven and a half lengths. What made the performance more special was that it came on heavy ground."I didn't expect her to win like that. She is just an amazing horse," said Waller.Bowman told Racing.com: "It is just so special, I am really lost for words."I feel like she is in the prime of her career, I expected more tempo early but I knew on the way to the barriers she meant business today."Winx's next race is scheduled to be the Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Randwick on April 8.
