Tonto and Walker aiming to book Lincoln tickets in Wolverhampton Trial

Brian Ellison has his sights firmly set on the Betway Lincoln Handicap at Doncaster on April 1 as he gives Top Notch Tonto and Dream Walker their prep runs for the first big race of the turf season at Wolverhampton on Saturday.The North Yorkshire trainer reports both horses to be ready to return to the fray after having lengthy breaks.Top Notch Tonto is having his first race since finishing second to Creggs Pipes at the Galway Festival last July.Dream Walker won a seven-furlong handicap at the showpiece Galway fixture on his second start in three days there and he ran three times after that.Both will bid to book their tickets to Doncaster in the sunbets.co.uk Lincoln Trial Handicap on the Tapeta surface."Top Notch Tonto looks a picture. He's come back in this year and is very well," said Ellison."Dream Walker and Top Notch Tonto are in the same boat, really. They are getting ready to go for the Lincoln."Ellison has a third string to his bow at the Midlands venue in Baraweez, who blew away the cobwebs with his first run for nearly six months at Lingfield last weekend."Baraweez ran well last week. This seems the right race for him and worth going for," said Ellison.Nimr won on this course last month, but that was over seven furlongs and his trainer Richard Fahey has yet to be convinced the four-year-old can last out the extended mile."I'm happy enough with him. He's still got to convince me he stays, but on pedigree he could, and he's in great form," said Fahey.Kieran O'Neill has a soft spot for Emell as he rides the Richard Hannon-trained seven-year-old both at home and on the track."I get to ride him all the time which is great. He's been thriving through the winter, he's been leading the yearlings and seems very happy doing that," the jockey told At The Races."He's a lot stronger. He ran in a lot of big races last year and kept hitting the bar. I can see him winning a big one this year."
