Pam Sly trained this three-year-old's grandam to win the 1000 Guineas, so it was probably a bit of an insult to her pedigree to run off 48 when she won her first handicap.

Wrydcroft bolted up again next time out at Leicester, but even though the handicapper has stepped in, he is still able to run off a mark of 61 here.

The hat trick looks more likely than not to me, especially as Rose Dawes is able to claim her full 5lb here after steering her home in good style on her latest start. The going has to be taken on trust, but her grandam won her Classic on soft ground, so I am happy to take the chance.

Jake Dickson is definitely high on my list of apprentices likely to make a name for themselves riding on the all-weather this winter.

The young rider has already forged a strong relationship with this three-year-old trained by his boss Tim Easterby, nbeing unbeaten on her in two rides over this trip.

The pair have struck on soft ground as well, so this big field slog through the mud will not be any issue for them and Sweet Kiss can bounce back to form on turf after a slightly disappointing effort on the all-weather last time.
