Iceberg Theory lacks a recent run heading into the Munster National but he’s got an encouraging record when fresh.
He’s had the best Finishing Speed Percentage in half of his past ten races and gained 14 lengths with his jumping when winning a beginners’ chase at Limerick last year. The seven-year-old was also a creditable fifth in the National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham in March.

Gaelic Des Chastys is admirably consistent and would not be winning out of turn after being placed in three big-field handicaps here at Limerick last season.
His latest near miss at the Listowel Festival needs an upgrade, too, as he outjumped his rivals and was disadvantaged by fences being omitted in the closing stages.

Truth Be Told finished with a flourish to win at Leopardstown in May and again put in good late work when sixth of 21 in a hot handicap here last time. He had little chance the way things unfolded that day.
He has had the best Finishing Speed Percentage in five of his past six races and Billy Lee’s rides at Leopardstown have exceeded market expectations by 46 percent in the past year.
