3.08 NOTTINGHAM: THI QAR
Highest Speed: 41.13mph
Finishing Speed Percentage at Newmarket: 107.12% (best)
William Buick overall Actual v Expected: 1.17
This Qar sets a high standard for the newcomers to aim at here.
She has lost out by a neck in both her races, at Newmarket and Salisbury, but done little wrong.
Thi Qar hit the top speed of the race in both contests, plus had best Finishing Speed Percentage on her debut. Her conqueror last time has bolstered the form by since finishing a close fourth in the Rockfel Stakes.
3.14 SALISBURY: SUPER TUSCAN
Highest Speed: 43.14mph
Finishing Speed Percentage at Doncaster: 100.89%
Super Tuscan is up against it on ratings but he has gone close in competitive nurseries at York and Doncaster on his past two starts and may be able to spring a surprise.
He fared easily best of those who raced off the pace in the latter race, passing ten rivals in the last two furlongs. This track promises to suit him, with Social Symbol the obvious threat.
3.49 SALISBURY: BROSAY
Highest Speed: 43.51mph
Last two furlongs at Goodwood: 22.94sec
Finishing Speed Percentage at Goodwood: 102.46%
Brosay is 15lb lower in the ratings than this time last year and has hinted he will soon be taking advantage after successive near misses at Goodwood.
He signed off with two fast furlongs when runner-up there last week, having had easily the best Finishing Speed Percentage at the Sussex track on his previous start.
