The RaceiQ data tells us Dandy Magic is often slow to 20mph (slowest in three of her past seven seven races) but that she comes home strongly, reflected by her having the best Finishing Speed Percentage in eight of her past 12 races.
She caught the eye when a keeping on fourth under considerate handling at Ayr on Monday in a steadily-run race not run to suit her "sit and pounce" style.
The four-year-old is in a lower-grade race against her own sex, plus is now equipped with first-time cheekpieces with Billy Loughnane in the saddle.
At tracks where he has had 15 rides or more in the past year, Loughnane only has one higher A/E - at Ffos Las (1.53).
Dandy Magic is quoted at 8-1 in the early betting.

His Finishing Speed Percentages are solid and he arrives iat the top of his game, having been touched off by an unexposed three-year-old at Doncaster on his latest start in a time 1.62 seconds quicker than the RaceiQ Par.
He has nothing from the Classic generation to contend with this time and can go one better from what looks a favourable draw. Ashen rates the biggest threat.

Diamond Rain will not be much of a price - she's 4-6 in the early shows - but looks to have found a good opportunity to get back to winning ways.
Steadily run Group races at York and Newcastle this term have not shown this long striding mare to best advantage.
Her Finishing Speed Percentage when third to See The Fire in the Middleton Stakes at York in May was more than 118% and the race did not even warrant a Time Index.
