Sue Smith's stayer got up in the dying strides to win the valuable prize and the Grimthorpe Chase, over an extra two furlongs in March, could be on his agenda following a 3lb rise.
"He ran an absolute corker. He appreciated the better ground and Henry (Brooke) gave him a lovely ride as Danny (Cook) wasn't available," Smith told At The Races.
"I'm really pleased with him. I'm not quite sure where we'll go next, I need to have a word with Michael Scholey (owner) and then we'll see.
"He ran well in the Grimthorpe last year (third) and that could be a possibility.
"I wasn't 100 per cent sure three out that he'd get there, but his jumping got a lot better the further he went and speaking to Henry, he said he knew he'd have to wing the last but when he did, he picked up really well.
"The longer trip in the Grimthorpe could suit."
