Anthony Honeyball feels Regal Encore can put his previous experience to good use and run into a place in the Randox Health Grand National at Aintree.
Having finished eighth in the race last year, the 10-year-old warmed up for a second shot at the world famous prize on April 14 with victory in a Listed contest at Ascot last month.
Honeyball said: "It is nice and simple for us with him as he will go straight to Aintree and we've not got to worry about anything else. It was great to get a good pot out the way first.
"He was eighth last year off the back of a win. He has got experience of the course and we know he gets the trip and he jumps very well round there.
"I imagine he will school over the Aintree-style fences in Lambourn again before the race as he can get a bit sulky at home and he will need a day out.
"He would be a very interesting horse with a clear round and if he worked his way into the frame it would not be the biggest shock."
