Prince Of Arran out again in Dubai this week

Sun 25 Feb 2018

Charlie Fellowes is not concerned about dropping Prince Of Arran back in trip on his return to Pattern company in the Nad Al Sheba Trophy at Meydan on Thursday.

After winning a handicap over two miles last time out the five-year-old, who will be wearing a first-time visor, will now drop back two furlongs for a tilt at the Group Three contest.

The Newmarket handler said: "We are dropping back to one-mile-six. James Doyle knows him better now as when he rode him first time over that trip out there he had never sat on the horse before.

"I don't think it is a worry and I think James will be on the ball and come up with a good plan.

"I thought he would win by further last time but James felt the handbrake came on slightly when he hit the front. He was keen to go for the headgear and that is why we have applied the visor.

"He had a canter in the visor this morning under Natasha Eaton and she was really happy with him and said he was brilliant. It should help sharpen him up."
