Top Notch will head to
Ascot on November 25 for either the Christy 1965 Chase or the Coral Hurdle.
Nicky Henderson's versatile six-year-old made his comeback at Aintree on Saturday and while he finished last of three behind Unowhatimeanharry, he pleased connections.
Anthony Bromley, racing manager for owners Simon Munir and Isaac Souede, said: "There is the Grade Two chase at Ascot in just under two weeks but we will probably put an entry in the Coral Hurdle on the same day, just to see what the entries are like.
"Top
Notch took a blow going to the last at Aintree and he will come on for it. On the ratings he was entitled to be beaten two lengths at the weights by Unowhatimeanharry.
"He was beaten three lengths in the end and he probably didn't run too far off his handicap mark. In the paddock beforehand he looked a little bit burly.
"He needed that run to put him straight for Ascot."
