Michael Bell has Big Orange in trim for Dubai Gold Cup challenge

Michael Bell reports Big Orange to be in prime condition ahead of the Dubai Gold Cup in Meydan on Saturday week.

Last year's Ascot Gold Cup hero has had a good preparation as he bids to improve upon his fourth place behind Vazirabad in the two-mile Group Two last March.

As part of hid build-up, Big Orange was partnered by Frankie Dettori in a piece work at Newmarket on Saturday.

"He's taking off Friday morning for Dubai healthy and well," said Bell.

"Frankie rode him the other day and was happy but the horse knows almost as much about racing as Frankie does.

"The horse is in good order."
