A heavy fall at Haydock in 2022 led to a chain of events which left Josh Moore fighting for his life.
The former jockey had a spell in critical care with fat embolism syndrome, a rare condition which developed when he was being already being treated for broken left femur as well as a fracture of his T7 vertebra.
Fat from his broken femur leaked into his bloodstream, a rare occurrence but one that is known to follow some injuries to major bones.
Now training with his father, Gary, he spoke to Nick Luck on Luck On Sunday about what occurred, including the night when "my family got a call at 2am to get to the hospital quick because they thought I wasn't going to get through the night".
Moore had a lengthy recuperation ahead of him, having to learn to speak again after fears he may be brain damaged.
He told Luck about his awe of the human body and its powers of restoration, plus and the vivid dreams he had about being abroad - including to places he had never visited - when in a coma. That was something that Luck said his father had also experienced.
