Galway Races, as John B Keane once famously said, is a state of mind.

It'll be a state of a different mind this year, behind closed doors, but a winner is a winner. It's a long week and some great bets are assured.

4.10 Galway: Trusted Ally

This horse was a major eye-taker on debut at Limerick, where he blew the start from gate eight and otherwise would surely have won. He looks one who has since been aimed at Galway by Michael O'Callaghan.

5.45 Galway: Tanseeq

He was given a very easy time of it on his return over five furlongs at Naas, nudged out to finish with plenty left, and a bit of progression from that saw him run much better at Leopardstown last time. He should rattle home here.

6.15 Galway: Centroid

Was off the track for some time but he was clearly considered a lot better than his mark when he kicked off and there was a strong sign he was coming back to his best with his cracking run at Leopardstown. He has surely been prepped for this.
