It’s Super Sunday at Tipperary, where racegoers also spend time watching the TVs on track to see what is happening in Paris – and Killarney.
Aidan O'Brien bids to win a third Arc and Luxembourg looks to have a reasonable chance, with a scatter of high-class fillies also flying the flag at Longchamp for Ireland.
Be lucky.
1.50 Tipperary: Onlyhuman
It was surprising this horse was 25-1 at Listowel as he has been in good nick for John McConnell and he has an edge over Saltonstall on that effort. His last win was when hacking up in this race in 2019, the ground is in his favour and he should go well.
2.45 Killarney: Winning Rascal
Winning Rascal had finished over a dozen lengths behind Ballyglass Beauty at Kilbeggan but he reversed that form in style at Listowel, when a tongue tie seemed to make all the difference. He was so dominant that day in a reasonably competitive race that he must again have a big chance again. He is only just getting going.
3.20 Killarney: Stormey
It is not a surprise that Stormey has improved for Paul Gilligan and he has been consistent, clearly not getting the trip at Galway last time but still not disgraced. It’s more than five years since he won but there’s plenty of pace up front here to play to his strengths.
5.05 Killarney: Berliet Express
This horse seemed to really enjoy going back hurdling when hacking up Friday at Gowran. His improved form merely seems to reflect the stable’s rude health and, having no issues jumping fences, he cannot be opposed.
