North American network Fox Sports are among the broadcasters helping Longines Irish Champions Weekend break new ground this weekend as they screen the action from Leopardstown.
Capable of reaching more than 100million viewers in the US and beyond, Fox Sports will be showing all of the action from Irish Champion Stakes day.
Racecourse Media Group (RMG), the media rights organisation, working with Horse Racing Ireland, Leopardstown Racecourse and The Curragh, have generated significant global TV interest in the action on both days.
The two-day showpiece of Irish Flat horseracing has attracted broadcasters from Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, US, Caribbean, South Africa, Middle East and North Africa, France, Russia, Turkey, and Poland, as well as in the UK and Ireland.
Green Channel will also show the Irish Champion Stakes live to their Japanese audience, as will TVB J2, Cable TV, Now TV and the HKJC platforms in Hong Kong.
ITV are broadcasting races from the meeting as part of its output on the main channel in the UK, in addition to RTE’s extensive coverage of the weekend in Ireland.
