These three selections all look very solid options in their respective events at Market Rasen and Leicester, live on Racing TV, and might reward a small multiple bet on Thursday. Best of luck.
Oliver’s Island is an exposed ten-year-old but has hit form this autumn with good efforts on his past two outings and would have almost certainly won last time if able to run off his correct mark.
Instead, he was beaten a nose by an in-form, and very well backed, rival trained by David Pipe, and doesn’t have any rivals with a similar profile to beat this time.
Aaron Anderson, who usually rides the selection and has guided him to victory twice, is able to claim 5lb in this race, so Oliver’s Island has plenty going for him.
Jessica Bedi’s charge has dropped 11lb since he joined this yard and races off a mark a pound lower than his last victory, so his turn is definitely due.
Has won a point, and a bumper, and looks to have an excellent chance of winning her first hurdle race here now she starts handicapping after two very promising starts over obstacles so far.
The handicapper would definitely have given her a higher mark had he seen that the horse she finished second to last time out had run a really good race in a Listed event last weekend.
Dollar Bae will definitely prefer the stiffer track at Leicester compared to the very sharp, flat track at Ludlow last time and has strong claims.
This mare is another who was beaten just a nose last time out by a well-backed favourite and looks set to make amends here.
Shanbally Rose seems to be a marginally better chaser than hurdler and gained her first career success at Perth in September when her jumping held up better than it sometimes does.
Mistakes probably cost her victory last time so she will certainly appreciate the easier fences at Market Rasen and Rose Dobbin remains in decent form.
I am also a sucker for a 10lb claimer, especially one who has ridden the horse to win before, and hopefully Dylan Johnston can guide Shanbally Rose to victory again here. We're all over it! Join Racing TV now to watch the best action during the 2022-23 Jumps season!
