Magical Lagoon in good order following her run in the Darley Yorkshire Oaks but he trainer is in no rush to make any definitive future plans.
The daughter of Galileo took advantage of last-minute transport issues for Emily Upjohn when scooping Classic honours in the Irish Oaks, using every ounce of her willing attitude to hold off Aidan O’Brien’s Toy.
That put the filly in line to meet her elders at the Ebor Festival at York and she was sent off at 8-1 in search of further Group One success on the Knavesmire.
Having taken up pace-setting duties at the head of affairs, Magical Lagoon wilted in the straight once the tempo was turned up a notch and she was unable to land a blow, finishing fifth.
Despite her trip to Yorkshire not going to plan, she has come out of the race fine with Harrington saying: “She’s great, very good, I’ve been very happy with her.”
Options for the three-year-old involve a trip to Paris on Arc Trials Day for the Prix Vermeille (September 11), while she could also return to the scene of her Royal Ascot triumph in the Ribblesdale Stakes and contest the Qipco British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes on October 15.
When asked about future running plans, Harrington said: Nothing yet (has been decided), she’s in the Prix Vermeille and the one at the end of the year at Ascot, the fillies mile-and-a-half race, we’ll just wait and see.”

Ballydoyle stable representative Chris Armstrong said: “He had a lovely run the first day and Ryan (Moore) liked him. Wayne loved him there. He said he has a very good temperament and when he asked him, he really stretched out and the most impressive part was going out through the line.
“Wayne says that in time he’ll have no problem going up again in trip, but he’s had the two runs now and he looks a ready-made Ascot two-year-old. I’d say he’s probably one for the Coventry now and he’s a horse to look forward to for the season ahead.”

Aidan O’Brien could have unleashed two juvenile Royal Ascot contenders, after both Carry The Flag and Confucius both obliged at odds-on at Naas.
It was Carry The Flag who opened proceedings when running on well to score as the 30-100 favourite.
Ballydoyle stable representative Chris Armstrong said: “He had a lovely run the first day on very different ground.
“Coming here, we hoped he’d win and, in fairness, he got the job done.
“Wayne felt just on the quicker ground, it’s probably the quickest ground he’s ever been on even at home, he just couldn’t get fully traction, he’s just rolling around.
“When the other filly came on his outside it really helped him. He’ll put himself in the Ascot mix now and we’ll see how he progresses and where he fits in.”
