Our pundit and resident website tipster Dave Nevison has picked 6-1, 5-1 and 4-1 winners so far this week and bids for more profit with three fancies on Friday. Enjoy action from Gowran and Dundalk live on Racing TV.

2.00 Ascot: Persuasion

Alice Keighley gave us a 5/1 winner with Polam, whom she rode for the Barrons in a similar event at Catterick on Wednesday, and she is getting some good chances for the yard.

Persuasion is a difficult horse to win with but has been dropped back down to a mark of 89 after not getting the run of things over a mile at Ayr last time. Yet he is better at seven furlongs, ideally wanting a strongly-run race. He looks likely to get that here at a track that strongly favours hold-up horses.

His run off this mark at Doncaster just three starts ago just needs to be repeated for him to go very close in this contest and the scene is set for Persuasion to do just that if on a going day.

4.20 Ascot: Lethal Nymph

This Clive Cox-trained gelding looked very comfortable throughout over this course and distance last time out when beating an in-form Mums Tipple and has only gone up 3lb for that victory.

He looked a really promising sort in the spring and although his form plateaued somewhat over the summer he looked as though he might well be on the up again last time.

4.55 Ascot: Yantarni

I was so disappointed with this horse last week and was certainly not the only one who suffered, as Yantarni was backed as if defeat wasn’t an option. He seemed to travel smoothly but either lack of gears or resolution meant he couldn’t get past Ashki.

Charlie Appleby turns him out again quickly with cheekpieces applied for the first time and hopefully they will sharpen up both his attitude and his turn of foot. Ascot is stiffer than Newmarket so the track could suit better too. There won't be many better-bred horses in action anywhere on Friday and if he doesn’t deliver this time it will be curtains for him in my Racing TV Tracker.
